Our Story
Star Seafoods is one of the largest suppliers of fresh fish in the Republic of Ireland. Supplying restaurants and hotels on the South West and West of Ireland, we’ve been wholesaling to the hospitably sector since 1974. As a verified member of the Origin Green sustainability program, we seek MSC and ASC certified fish to ensure the highest standards for our environment as well as our customers.
How It Began
Danny McCarthy Snr starts his fish business by renting a store in Kenmare and buying a second-hand van for £100. He had £5 left over to buy fish which he sold door to door and at market stalls.
